In the Savannah Public Schools, officials say they will cut two bus routes from their budget for the coming school year.
That will cut costs by about 50-thousand dollars.
That doesn't mean they have that money to spend elsewhere. Officials say the reduction only serves to offset their expected cost increases over the next year.
Officials expect changes in pick-up and drop-off times, by as much as ten minutes, for some routes. Those changes will be posted on the district's web site by the end of the year. Their web address is www.savannah.k12.mo.us.
School officials in St Joseph say they have NO plans to cut bus routes this coming year.
